Something Borrowed Part 1

Always an element of good design that many seem to miss is the importance of " Borrowed Landscape".

Borrowed Landscape or Shakkei in Japan, is a ancient technique of incorporating distant views and or elements into your own design.

It need not be mountain views, crashing waves or city vistas you want to frame.

A simple cascade of flowers tumbling over a common fence or a partial view of a neighboring cupola will do.
All things are possible and need not be screened with massive plantings. Take what you see & edit it, if need be, and make it your own. Try looking beyond your 4 walls, up and over your privets and fences to the view beyond, you will be amazed at what you see.
