Bleeding Heart is an old  favorite in the traditional woodland garden. Spring flowering in shades of  white, pink and red  it works with well with most shade loving plants such hostas, ferns and astilble. It is best to be planted among these other woodland plants as Bleeding Heart will most likely die back after flowering.
